He first meets Kiara as a cub, and is hostile at first. But they start to like each other when they must cooperate to escape from the hungry crocodiles. But alas Zira trains Kovu to be a killing machine, and to kill Simba as early as possible. Kovu saves Kiara from the fire that Nuka and Vitani started, Kovu was part of the plan too, to infiltrate Simba's pride, but he starts to like Kiara.Who has now grown into a very sweet lioness. Later in the movie, they fall in love. Kovu was banished from the pridelands by Simba, because he set him up, but Kovu didn't want to be part of it. Zira is outraged because Kovu didn't try hard enough to kill Simba, so she slashes him across the eye, so he got a scar, just like Scar. |
